We are seeking a CFO who can effectively balance hands-on engagement in day-to-day financial tasks with a strategic focus on long-term objectives. In this role, you will work closely with the entire Kelpinor team, contributing actively to our growth plans and sustainable business goals. 

About Kelpinor
Kelpinor is a climate-focused company cultivating seaweed on a large scale to support sustainable agriculture and enhance plant health. Our operations are based in Våg on the scenic island of Sandhornøy in Gildeskål Municipality. Founded in 2022 by NTNU School of Entrepreneurship alumni, Kelpinor is now transitioning into full commercial operations, recently securing 2.7 million NOK in a pre-seed investment round.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee group accounting and financial functions.
• Conduct financial analyses and prepare presentations.
• Lead planning and execution of fundraising activities.
• Manage applications for, and reporting on, soft funding sources.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Act as the primary contact for banking, audit, and financial institutions.
• Plan and manage HR functions, including recruitment.
• Oversee procurement of licenses and insurances.
• Present financial reports in monthly board meetings.
• Lead sustainability and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Fluency in Norwegian and English.

We seek dedicated individuals across fields, including in biology, chemistry, sales and marketing. We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to renewable resource innovations for agriculture. Interns will engage in a combination of laboratory work, field research, product development and production, playing an important role in our vision to enable the regenerative future.

Key Activities:

• Development and testing of new seaweed-based biostimulants.

• Work towards scaling seaweed cultivation with our team.
• No prior seaweed/aquaculture experience needed.
